Cornmeal is the versatile product that can be used for more than just making cornbread to go with your bowel of chili. Cornmeal can be used for cobblers. For making that nice breading that is used for deep frying foods, such as fish, pickles, shrimp, green tomatoes, and other foods that need a nice coating of meal. Cornmeal is great for Latin dishes for chess pie crust. This product is great to uses regularly, and you will want to have it in your long term food storage.
Directions: May be cooked as a cereal. For cornbread: combine 1 cup cornmeal, 1 cup flour, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 tbs. baking powder, and 1 tsp. salt. Add 1 egg and 1 cup milk. Pour into greased 8” pan and bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
